In my opinion, I think that the South has largely been opposed to gay marriage because of the Protestant religious sensibilities. Most of the places that have allowed same-sex marriage for any period of time are in more irreligious and liberal states like California, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. So what do you guys think about same-sex marriage in the South?
